May 2010 - American Students “Ain't Misbehavin'” in Seine-Saint-Denis
In April, a group of students from the McDonogh 35 College Preparatory High School of New Orleans gave a sparkling performance of the musical Ain't Misbehavin' during the Banlieues Blues festival. After the event, we met with Troy Poplous, the director of the show, and learned about the behind-the-scenes French-American cooperation that got these kids to the stage in France. Vegetarian restaurants are a rarity in Paris, and there are even fewer that serve really great cuisine. We recently dined at the Gentle Gourmet Bed and Breakfast and were regaled with delicious food.
